Pad or protector
A quilted pad adds a layer of loft as well as a barrier. A thin protector adds only the barrier. In hospitality the pad usually wins, because it also answers the complaint that a firm commercial mattress feels hard, and one purchase solves two problems.
Three-ply construction, waterproof, machine washable. SGS tested this pad for total organic fluorine under ASTM D7359-23 and returned not detected, report SHAHL26025131201, 18 August 2026. California's limit drops from 100 ppm to 50 ppm on 1 January 2027, and the pad already clears the 2027 figure rather than today's.
