Three Ways Federal Buyers Purchase Bargoose
-
Option 1
Through a GSA Schedule holder
Bargoose is listed in GSA eLibrary as a manufacturer under MAS SIN 314120, Lodging and Hospitality Supplies and Services. Contracting officers can source Bargoose product through a schedule holder carrying the line. Ask us which partners currently stock your item numbers.
-
Option 2
Direct, open market
For micro-purchases, simplified acquisitions, purchase-card buys and open-market awards, agencies can buy direct. Bargoose is registered in SAM.gov under UEI JGXFJ6W392N8, CAGE 8CRR4. Send your requirement and we will return a quote and the documentation your file needs.
-
Option 3
Sealed bid or RFQ response
Send the solicitation. We respond to IFBs, RFQs and RFPs with line-item pricing, specification sheets, test reports, and compliance representations. Note your response deadline and we will work to it.
Bed sizes and mattress depth in inches, total quantity, installation or facility name, ship-to state, required delivery date, and any compliance clause cited in the solicitation, particularly flame retardancy or domestic-source requirements. If you are working to a solicitation number, include it and we will respond in the format the file requires.
Domestic Sourcing, TAA and Berry Amendment
Domestic-source requirements are the most common reason a bedding award fails at review, so it is worth being precise rather than reassuring.
Domestic manufacturing is available. Standard catalog stock is imported. For requirements carrying a Trade Agreements Act clause, a Buy American clause, or a Berry Amendment (10 U.S.C. 4862) restriction, Bargoose can quote domestic production against your specification.
Tell us the clause up front. TAA, Buy American and Berry are three different standards with three different tests, and Berry in particular requires domestic sourcing fiber-forward. We will confirm in writing what a given production run can and cannot certify before you commit it to an award file. We would rather decline a line than put a contracting officer in a position they have to unwind.
Institutional & Duty Bunk Sizing
Government beds are frequently not commercial sizes. Barracks bunks, shipboard berths, VA clinical beds and dormitory-style federal housing all use dimensions that hospitality catalogs do not carry.
| Size | Dimensions | Typical Federal Application |
|---|---|---|
| Duty Bunk | Institutional spec | Barracks, fire and police quarters, ready rooms |
| Hospital Twin | 36" × 80" | VA medical centers, clinical and rehabilitation beds |
| Twin XL | 39" × 80" | Federal dormitory and student-style housing |
| Regular Twin | 39" × 75" | General billeting and transient quarters |
| Semi-Truck "Size A" | 36" × 80" | Fleet and transport sleeper berths |
| Custom | To specification | Bariatric, marine berths, non-standard institutional frames |
Send dimensions including depth. Custom runs are quoted against your specification and can be produced to a stated compliance clause.
Compliance Documentation for Your Award File
Bargoose publishes its third-party test documentation openly rather than holding it for request. Every item below is downloadable now, before you commit to a purchase.
- 16 CFR 1632 & 1633 flame retardancy. Federal mattress flammability standards, and the clause most often cited in institutional bedding solicitations. 16 CFR 1610 tested. View the report.
- ASTM F1670-08 fluid barrier. Resistance to penetration by synthetic blood, the standard used to qualify barrier materials for fluid exposure in clinical settings.
- Independent bed bug evaluation. Tested by Snell Scientifics, LLC and verified bite-proof and escape-proof. The closure is tested, not just the fabric.
- Oeko-Tex certified fabric, with SGS chemical panel testing including a 725-substance PFAS screen to EN 17681-1:2025 and California AB 1817 organic fluorine.
- U.S. Patent No. 8,413,276 — the BugStop® Seal, which closes the zipper-end gap that is the standard failure point in competitive encasements.
- Lifetime Limited Warranty against manufacturing defects, across the commercial line.
Bargoose is registered in SAM.gov as a Women-Owned Small Business and a Manufacturer of Goods, and is separately a certified Women-Owned Business Enterprise (WBE). Purchases support women-owned and small-business goals, and WBE certification additionally supports corporate and many state and local supplier-diversity requirements.
Note for set-aside determinations: awards restricted under the SBA Women-Owned Small Business Federal Contract Program require SBA certification, which is distinct from SAM self-certification and from WBE. Contact us to confirm current status before relying on it for a set-aside.

Is Bargoose on the GSA Schedule?
Bargoose Home Textiles is listed in GSA eLibrary as a manufacturer under Multiple Award Schedule SIN 314120, Lodging and Hospitality Supplies and Services. Federal buyers can source Bargoose product through a GSA Schedule holder carrying the line.
For open-market, micro-purchase and simplified acquisition buys, agencies can also purchase direct. Contact us with your requirement and we will tell you which route is cleanest for your file, and which schedule partners currently carry the item numbers you need.
What is SIN 314120 and why does it matter?
SIN 314120 is the GSA Multiple Award Schedule Special Item Number covering Lodging and Hospitality Supplies and Services, which includes houseware items for furnishing guest rooms and living quarters, mattresses, and related bedding. It sits in the Industrial Products and Services category.
If you are searching GSA eLibrary or GSA Advantage for mattress protection, SIN 314120 is the number to search. It is where Bargoose product is categorized.
Are Bargoose products TAA compliant?
Standard catalog stock is imported. Because the Trade Agreements Act restricts federal purchases to products from the United States or a designated country, and several common textile-manufacturing countries are not designated, imported stock should not be assumed TAA compliant.
Domestic manufacturing is available and is the route for TAA-restricted requirements. Cite the clause in your request and we will confirm in writing what a specific production run can certify, before it goes into your award file.
Can you meet Berry Amendment requirements?
The Berry Amendment (10 U.S.C. 4862) requires that textiles bought with DoD appropriated funds be domestic on a fiber-forward basis, meaning yarn spinning and fabric formation must also occur domestically. It is a stricter test than TAA or Buy American, and sewing in the United States from imported fabric does not satisfy it.
If your solicitation carries a Berry restriction, tell us at the outset. We will confirm with our manufacturing partner what can be certified fiber-forward for your specific item and quantity, and we will tell you plainly if a line cannot be met rather than leaving it ambiguous.
Do you carry Duty Bunk and other institutional sizes?
Yes. Duty Bunk sizing is available, along with Hospital Twin at 36" × 80", Twin XL at 39" × 80", and custom production for bariatric beds, marine berths, and non-standard institutional frames. Send dimensions including mattress depth. Non-catalog sizes are quoted against your specification.
What documentation can you provide for a solicitation response?
The full library is published at Test Reports & Lab Results and includes 16 CFR 1632 flammability, ASTM F1670-08 fluid barrier, the Snell Scientifics bed bug evaluation, Oeko-Tex fabric certification, and SGS chemical panels including PFAS screening. The BugStop® Seal is U.S. Patent No. 8,413,276.
For submissions requiring documentation tied to specific item numbers, sizes or lots, send the item numbers you intend to specify and we will confirm which current report covers them rather than pointing you at a general line claim.
Does Bargoose count toward small business or women-owned goals?
Bargoose is a small, family-operated U.S. manufacturer and a certified Women-Owned Business Enterprise (WBE). WBE certification is widely recognized for corporate supplier diversity and for many state and local programs.
Federal women-owned set-asides are governed by SBA-certified WOSB and EDWOSB status, which is a distinct certification. If your requirement depends on a federal set-aside determination, contact us to confirm current status before relying on it.
Can you ship to multiple installations on one award?
Yes. Drop ship across multiple installations or facilities is supported and is normal for multi-site rollouts. Provide the ship-to list with quantities per location and required delivery dates, and we will quote it as a single award with distributed delivery.
