Where six-gauge vinyl earns its place
Vinyl is the wipe-clean option. A knit encasement has to go through a laundry cycle and a dryer; a vinyl one gets wiped at the bedside and is back in service in minutes. In shelters, corrections, student housing and anywhere laundry capacity is the bottleneck, that difference decides the specification.
Six-gauge is the institutional weight, roughly twice the thickness of the three-gauge consumer grade. Twenty-nine sizes across 7, 9, 12 and 16 inch depths.
Fully waterproof, closed with the BugStop® Seal. SGS chemical testing on the PVC film is published on our test reports page.
