What do hotels use to protect mattresses?

Most properties run a zippered encasement on the mattress and the box spring, with a launderable quilted pad above it. The encasement handles bed bug containment and six-sided fluid protection and stays on the bed for years. The pad takes the daily wear and goes through the laundry on turnover. Pillow protectors are specified the same way, usually 24 to a case.

Are hotel mattress protectors waterproof?

Yes, by different constructions. A laminated stretch knit uses a polyurethane membrane that passes body heat and water vapour while blocking liquid water, so it stays quiet under a guest. Vinyl is a solid sheet: a better barrier with a longer service life under abuse, but it does not breathe. Vinyl belongs in corrections, shelters and heavy incontinence settings rather than a guest room.

Will hotel guests notice a mattress protector?

They notice the wrong one. A cover that crackles, traps heat or shifts under the sheet generates complaints and gets removed by housekeeping, which leaves the mattress unprotected without procurement hearing about it. A laminated stretch knit is silent and stretches to the mattress, so it reads as part of the bed. Order a sample and sleep on it before committing a floor.

How often should hotel mattress protectors be washed?

Pads and pillow protectors go through the laundry on normal turnover. Encasements stay on the mattress and come off only for a deep clean or a remediation. Avoid bleach, which degrades a polyurethane membrane over time, and fabric softener, which leaves a film that reduces breathability. Bargoose publishes no wash-cycle count because barrier retention after repeated hot laundering has not been measured. Buyers given a cycle count by any supplier should ask which standard, which temperature and which laboratory.

Does Bargoose supply hotel groups and management companies at volume?

Yes. Bargoose is a commercial manufacturer rather than a consumer brand selling wholesale on the side. Case pack pricing, multi-property drop ship, brand standard documentation and custom sizing to specification are standard. Bargoose is also a New York State certified Women-Owned Business Enterprise, which counts toward diverse spend reporting for properties that track it.

What is the case pack for hotel mattress protectors?

Mattress size items ship in commercial case packs of 6. Pillow protectors ship 24 to a case, and the 6-gauge vinyl pillow protector is sold in pairs, so one case is 12 pairs covering 12 beds. Hospital Twin at 36 by 75 inches and Hospital Twin XL at 36 by 84 inches are stocked alongside the standard range, and both vinyl lines are cut in two depths.

What test documentation is available for a brand standard submission?

ASTM F1671/F1671M-25a Procedure B viral penetration with no penetration on all three specimens, SGS report 14SN2600006282; 16 CFR 1632 ticking substitution classified Class A, report AJFTS26003352R01; ISO 6330:2021 Procedure 4N laundering, report SL42604312776801TX; OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 certification; SGS PFAS panels published per product; and the Snell Scientifics independent bed bug evaluation. All download in full with no request form. ASTM F1670-08 documentation is construction-specific and supplied on request rather than posted.
